Editors' Note regarding "Mechanism of corticotropin-releasing factor type I receptor regulation by nonpeptide antagonists"

In the above article [Hoare SRJ, Sullivan SK, Ling N, Crowe PD, and Grigoriadis DE (2003) Mol Pharmacol 63:751–765], the authors did not provide the chemical name of R 121919, which is 2,5-dimethyl-3-(6-dimethylamino-4-methylpyridin-3-yl)-7-dipropylaminopyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine dihydrochloride.

In addition, the authors used a compound, NB35965, whose chemical name and structure were not provided. The policy of Molecular Pharmacology requires that chemical and structural identity be defined. When the Editors became aware of this situation, they asked the authors to provide such information for NB35965. The authors declined, indicating that they did not have the authority to release the information at that time. However, the authors have stated that they will accommodate this request in the near future, at which time we will communicate the information to readers.

The Editors apologize to readers for both the error and delay in identification of compounds utilized in studies in the journal.
