  • Data Supplement - Fig. 1S. Assessment of the biochemical purity and integrity of 12(R)-HETE.
    A) To remove contaminating impurities, 12(R)-HETE preparations were subjected to normal phase HPLC purification.
    B) UV spectral analysis of purified 12(R)-HETE preparations generates spectra displaying a characteristic absorbance maximum at 235 nM, indicating the presence of a conjugated diene functionality.
    C) Mass spectra for 12(R)-HETE generated using electrospray ionization in negative ion mode (ESI-). The molecular ion was measured using high accuracy exact mass determination to confirm the elemental composition of the compound.
    D) MS-MS analysis of the molecular ion generated characteristic daughter fragments at M/Z= 301 and 257 indicating loss of H2O and the loss of both CO2 and H2O, respectively.
