TY - JOUR T1 - The Correlation of Localization Rates of Benzeneboronic Acids in Brain and Tumor Tissue with Substituent Constants JF - Molecular Pharmacology JO - Mol Pharmacol SP - 87 LP - 92 VL - 1 IS - 1 AU - CORWIN HANSCH AU - A. RUTH STEWARD AU - JUNKICHI IWASA Y1 - 1965/07/01 UR - http://molpharm.aspetjournals.org/content/1/1/87.abstract N2 - Substituent constants and regression analysis have been used to correlate the localization of substituted benzeneboronic acids in brain and tumor tissue of mice. It is shown that localization in the brain can be rationalized in terms of one parameter, π, obtained from octanol: water partition coefficients. Localization in the tumor depends on an additional electronic parameter, δ. Localization in the boronic acid series is compared with biologic activity in a series of barbituric acids.
