Characterization was carried out using carbon monoxide and ethyl isocyanide binding difference spectra. Nuclear cytochrome P-450 in 3-methylcholanthrene-induced animals had different spectral properties from the nuclear cytochrome P-450 in uninduced and phenobarbital-induced animals. These spectral data demonstrate that hepatic nuclear cytochrome P-450 differs from the microsomal species.
