The purified enzyme was used to induce the production of immunologically pure antienzyme in rabbits. The latter was utilized in the indirect immunofluorescent method for localization of dopamine β-hydroxylase in peripheral tissues and brain. Time cross-reactivity of the antibody to the bovine enzyme permits its application to studies with tissues from laboratory animals.
