Small B cells were incubated for 6 hr in vivo with propidium iodide and the indicated stimuli. Apoptosis was determined by measuring the percentage of cell in quadrants R3 + R4 after analysis by flow cell cytometry (see text) or after the release of nucleosomal moieties to the cytosol (see Fig. 3 enrichment factor).
