Each value is average of at least two assays. Each assay was done in duplicate, and kinetic constants were determined with a computer program (Wilkinson, 1961). Standard errors for each assay value were less than 10%. Km and Vmaxvalues varied between assays by 1.1- to 2.3-fold.
