Responses to 50 μM GABA were compared between PP and IL. Responses in IL cells were divided into two groups based on amount of blockade by 0.01 μM DHEAS. Cells in which DHEAS reduced GABA responses to <30% of control were classified as high sensitivity; cells in which GABA responses remained within 60% of control were classified as low sensitivity. D/P was ratio of the end point amplitude of current after desensitization was complete (D) to peak response (P).
