Assays such as those shown in Figs. 2 and 5 were fitted to eq. 1 or 2 as appropriate (see Experimental Procedures).

    • The results are from at least three assays, except for *n = 2. Empty cells indicate that it was not possible to obtain at least two sets of parameter estimates.

    • 1-a Some, but not all, of the values were obtained from analyses in which the affinity for the [3H]NMS-occupied receptor was fixed at the mean value obtained from off-rate assays and shown in Table 2.
