The uptake experiments were performed at the concentration indicated for 1 h. Values are mean ± SE of 8∼12-oocyte determinations. The significance between water-injected and hOAT3-cRNA-injected oocytes was determined by unpaired ttest. The chemical concentrations used werea 50 nM,b 100 nM andc 10 μM. The units of measure were femtomoles per oocyte per hour for 3H tracers and picomoles per oocyte per hour for 14C tracers.
