For inhibition experiments, cells were either preincubated for 24 h with 100 μM CPCCOEt (24-h CPCCOEt), 300 μM (S)-4C3HPG [24 h (S)-4C3HPG], or not (no pretreatment). Values are mean ± S.D. of three to five experiments. Statistical analysis was performed using the Student's t-test (two-tailed).
