KG1a and KG1a/200 cells were labeled with [3H] palmitic acid for 48 h and treated for various times with 20 μM PDMP. The levels of Cer and gangliosides were analyzed as described underExperimental Procedures. Results are calculated as percentages compared with untreated cells and are mean ± S.D. of at least three independent experiments. Statistical analyses were performed using the Student's t test.
