Rats were administered imipramine, iproniazid, tranylcypromine, haloperidol, diazepam, SR48968, or saline for 21 days and subjected to in situ hybridization analysis using 35S-labeled PRAX-1 riboprobes. Quantification of PRAX-1 mRNA in the DG and CA1 and CA3 regions of the hippocampus was performed by optical densitometry. Values are expressed as percentage of saline and represent mean ± S.E.M., n = 4 to 5 rats per group.
