Effects of Trx reductase inhibition on selegiline-induced antiapoptosis The redox cycle of endogenous Trx is sensitive to the inhibition of the selenium-containing Trx reductase by DNCB (10 μM), which was administered to SH-SY5Y cells 5 min before the 24-h incubation at 37°C in the absence or presence of both selegiline (1 μM) and MPP+ (1 mM), the toxic metabolite of MPTP, a dopaminergic neurotoxin.
