While mono-ortho polychlorinated biphenyls were able to activate the human AhR, they were generally ineffective in activating rainbow trout and zebrafish AhR2s (Abnet et al., 1999). Brack et al. (2016) summarized current experience with the effect-directed analysis approach and the tools required, and provides practical advice on their application.
