Evidence has revealed a role for PLA2s in atherosclerosis [73], heart diseases [74] as well as in stroke [75]. Since the pathogenesis of normal tension glaucoma (NTG) seems to involve vascular dysregulation [76], PLA2s may furthermore play a role in glaucoma.
