2020, Biophysical JournalCitation Excerpt :The disulfide bond formation initiated by agonist application yields two subsets of information. Firstly, disulfide bonds have well-defined distance and angular constraints, which indicates close proximity for the two Cys when a cystine forms (42). Secondly, disulfide bond formation at I409-R410 puts structural constraints on the mechanism of conformational changes, giving insights into the relationship between structural changes and function (58).
