2002, GeneCitation Excerpt :Almost all cytokine receptors have a conserved WSXWS motif in their extracellular domains whose role is not precisely understood (Hilton et al., 1996). Murine TSLPR contains a WTAVT sequence in its extracellular domain that is distantly similar to the variant YGEFS motif observed in the growth hormone receptor (Patthy, 1990; Cosman, 1993). Additionally, murine TSLPR contains a single pair of conserved cysteine residues instead of two or more conserved pairs found in other receptors.
