2009, NeuroImmune BiologyCitation Excerpt :Firing responses to capsaicin of single vagal sensory C-fibers innervating the trachea were increased following application of bradykinin to their receptive fields at concentrations that failed to cause discharges on their own [122]. Bradykinin was shown to increase the proportion of neonatal rat DRG neurons responding to capsaicin and to protons [123]. This response was unaffected by inhibition of COX or LOX.
