Abstract
INVESTIGATIONS of a wide range of cells have shown that microtubules, acting as skeletal elements, are associated with cytoplasmic movements1–3. Here I describe microtubules in the cytoplasm of a small amoeba, believed to be a new species of the genus Hartmannella4.
