In the above article [Shin SM, Cho IJ, and Kim SG (2009) Mol Pharmacol 76: 884–895; DOI: 10.1124/mol.109.058479], the authors provided incorrect representative light micrographs of cells in Fig. 1A that duplicated images from Fig. 1A and Fig. 2A in their second paper [Shin SM and Kim SG (2009) Inhibition of Arachidonic Acid and Iron-Induced Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Apoptosis by Oltipraz and Novel 1,2-Dithoiole-3-thione Congeners. Mol Pharmacol 75: 242–253; DOI: 10.1124/mol.108.051128]. The images from the two manuscripts were mixed up during figure configuration. Both papers had similar protocols of in vitro experiments done around similar time points, but they were assessed under separate conditions. In Fig. 2B, the original histogram was mistakenly overlapped with the same file in the process of exporting from the FACS instrument to the image file (lower right). Immunoblottings in Fig. 1C, Fig. 4A, and Fig. 5A came from separate repetitive experiments. Reproducibility of the results was independently confirmed. An investigation conducted by the authors’ institution concluded that the errors were not intentional.

The authors apologize for the errors and any inconvenience it caused. These errors do not affect the conclusions or interpretations in the paper.

The correct Figs. 1 and 2 are shown below.
