Pretreatment with methylcholanthrene increased the plasma half-life of the labeled steroid, reflecting a decreased rate of metabolic destruction, but had no effect on the apparent volume of distribution. Pretreatment with phenylbutazone caused an increased volume of distribution with no change in the plasma half-life.
