ED50 estimations for dexamethasone and triamcinolone acetonide-inducible reporter gene expression in primary cultured hepatocytes transiently transfected with SULT2-40/41 5′-luciferase constructs.

Data shown in Figs. 2 and 3 were fit to a sigmoidal function, and ED50 values with 95% confidence intervals were calculated.

    • 1-a Because the dose-response relationship for this group was essentially flat, the calculated confidence interval was very wide, 3.68 × 10−29 to 4.17 × 10+26 nM.

    • 1-b The response measured at 10−5 M triamcinolone acetonide was excluded from this analysis because the increased response that was seen at this dose was not reproduced in a subsequent experiment.
