Role of phospholipase A and D in cardiovascular disease
2023, Phospholipases in Physiology and Pathology: Volumes 1-7Differential changes in phospholipase D and phosphatidate phosphohydrolase activities in ischemia-reperfusion of rat heart
2005, Archives of Biochemistry and BiophysicsPhospholipase C may be involved in norepinephrine-induced cardiac hypertrophy
2004, Biochemical and Biophysical Research CommunicationsCitation Excerpt :Cardiomyocytes were scrapped off in 2 ml of phosphate-buffered saline and collected by centrifugation at 27g for 1 min. Protein concentrations were determined by the Lowry method as described elsewhere [18]. RNA isolation and semi-quantitative PCR.
Defective phosphatidic acid-phospholipase C signaling in diabetic cardiomyopathy
2004, Biochemical and Biophysical Research CommunicationsCitation Excerpt :d-Myo-IP3 was used as a standard. Activity of SL PLC δ1, the major SL PLC isozyme, was measured by immunoprecipitation, as already reported [11]. Briefly, SL membranes from the LV tissue of control, diabetic, and diabetic + insulin groups were isolated according to the method of Pitts et al. as described elsewhere [28].
Depressed phosphatidic acid-induced contractile activity of failing cardiomyocytes
2003, Biochemical and Biophysical Research CommunicationsCitation Excerpt :Atrial, macrovascular, connective, and scar tissues were carefully removed and the right ventricle was separated. The uninfarcted viable left ventricular tissue (including intraventricular septum) from four to five hearts was pooled to prepare the sarcolemmal membrane fraction according to the method of Pitts as described elsewhere [6,7,9,10]. As reported in prior studies in sham control and post-MI CHF hearts [6–10], the SL membrane preparations had minimal (2–4%) contamination by other subcellular organelles.
