2022, Food ChemistryCitation Excerpt :There are more than fifty chemical compounds recognized as carbamates that are used as insecticides in agriculture (Gupta et al., 2011). Carbaryl was the first registered carbamate for use on cotton crops in the United States but at present time, it is frequently used on other plants as well, including ornamentals and in turf management (Denison et al., 1998). Some known carbamate insecticides are aldicarb, oxamyl, fenobucarb, carbofuran, ethienocarb and methomyl (Silberman & Taylor, 2018a).
