    In order to obtain a multilamellar vesicle suspension (MLVs), the dried film was hydrated in 1 mM KCl aqueous solution at pH = 5.0 above the phase transition temperature of the lipids, for 60 min [41,42]. Phospholipid concentration was determined by quantifying inorganic phosphorus in samples mineralized essentially [43]. The inorganic phosphate concentration was colorimetrically determined according to Chen et al. [44] as described by Ames [45].
